By the way, this is listed as “paid promotion”. A text message appears on screen. I wonder why Erin’s commercials never have this. It seems to be a standard Youtube message. You probably have to click something when you upload the video to declare it as a commercial. Erin just doesn’t do that.

Well, I know of at least one person. This is something that you MIGHT play once and then what? You have this big piece of shit taking up a lot of space in your home.
I can play Pac-Man every day. I have the rom. I have MAME. I have a computer. So when was the last time I played Pac-Man? YEARS ago. I’m not interested.
And I’d be playing on a reasonably large monitor and using a full sized keyboard. With this mini arcade, you’re going to be hunched over, looking at a tiny screen, manipulating a tiny joystick. Suddenly I’m reminded of Shishi for some reason.
And we’ve seen this. We have all seen these fucking stupid mini-arcade machines already. Every “gaming” “Youtuber” has already done a video. Even ERIN already did a video on this. Hasn’t she? It was some small arcade machine. Let me look this up.

That was eight months ago. Same product. And I did a review on this video but it’s lost to the ages. I remember the video, though. Erin actually had to put her hand on top of the machine to keep it from toppling over. And she was sitting on the floor while doing all of this. It looked super uncomfortable. Fun factor of zero.
And yeah, they sent Erin this piece of shit too. They’ve now worked their way down to Retro Ali and her 20,000 horny loser subscribers.
Why bother? This thing is $130. Who would make a video, even a short five minute video like this one, for a $130 piece of shit? If she immediately sells this thing, the most she can get is maybe $80. That’s what your time is worth? That’s what your integrity is worth? Eighty bucks? In the time it took you to make and upload this video, you could have earned at least that amount doing an actual job.
1:30 – “If I’m sitting down, this is like the height of my upper body.”
This is literally about the sixth time that she mentioned how big this machine is in relation to herself. We get it.
2:15 – She plays this thing while sitting at a desk. That got me thinking. Why the fuck was Erin playing on the floor? They must have a desk or a table that she could have used.
Anyway, this does not look remotely fun. It keeps moving as she moves the joystick. Maybe she has to put her hand on top of it.
I recall somebody in the comments of Erin’s video suggesting that she install some big heavy base to weigh it down and keep it from moving. Erin said that she’d look into it. No prizes for guessing whether or not she actually did that.
3:00 – “This thing kind of moves around a bit if you have a little force on the joystick.”
Indeed.
In conclusion, she suggests that it’s too expensive and for hardcore “gamers” only. She says if they lowered the price, it could have broader appeal.
I don’t think that that’s really the problem. This is a piece of shit. Give me something good. I’ll pay twice as much for something of high quality.
I mean, personally I’m not going to buy a mini arcade machine no matter what price or quality it is. But that’s what I’d want to see. A high quality product at a fair price. Everything doesn’t have to be about getting the cheapest thing possible. Focus on quality. I’ll pay more.
