Rental Reviews Final Episode – Crazy VHS Tape Cover Art – Cinemassacre

This is from three weeks ago.  They look at some box art.  I guess.  I don’t really remember.

44:00 – Kieran says, “We kind of just did like six months of theme episodes and then forgot about the whole Rental Reviews cinematic universe.”

It’s true.  When they started this series, they had that chainsaw and they were renovating a store and whatever.  I remember James talking about clues.  Like this chainsaw was a clue about…something.  The story.  The story which, mercifully, we never got.

Imagine Rental Reviews, which reached a high point of “barely watchable”, but add dumb skits.  That would have been some infuriating shit.  So at least they had the sense not to do this.

The Screenwave guys must have wrestled James to the ground to get him not to ruin the series with dumb skits.  Because that’s what James likes.  He likes ruining his little Youtube shows with dumb skits.  He did it with AVGN, Board James, You Know What’s Bullshit, OverAnalyzers, everything.  Everything he did was about dumb skits.

Everyone knows that these skits are bad.  Mike has said numerous times that he told James that the skits in AVGN are bad and he should just do the reviews but that James didn’t listen because James likes the dumb skits.

Board James was fine when he was just reviewing board games but then James had to ruin it with the dumb skits.  Does anyone want Board James lore?  And then he ended with that ridiculous, convoluted finale which required a separate video where James attempted to explain that finale.

You Know What’s Bullshit, same thing.  Nobody, and I mean nobody, wanted that Bullshit Man character.  The mask was disgusting but this is all part of James’ autistic poo obsession.

So credit has to be given to Screenwave for forcing him, perhaps with threats of physical violence, not to inject his dumb skits into Rental Reviews.  They can at least be proud of the series in that respect.  “We managed to do this thing with no dumb skits, a feat never before accomplished in the history of Cinemassacre.”
