I don’t know how many more of these I can do. First of all, Tony isn’t a gamer grrl so it’s questionable to begin with. But secondly, the content…how to put this delicately…it doesn’t interest me.
I like Tony. I like Kieran and Justin and this other guy on Talking About Tapes. They’re personable, they’re funny, they’re knowledgeable, they make an effort. But as far as their AVGN videos go, they’re awful. It’s partly James’ fault, partly the concept may have worn out, but it’s also partly Screenwave’s fault. Because you watch Tony’s videos be it Talking About Tapes or his Godzilla podcast and it’s just…I don’t know…not good.
But the personal vitriol these these guys get is disgusting and deeply rooted in latent homosexuality. How long can the “they’re new, that’s why I don’t like them” excuse, as childish as it is, be trotted out? Then it becomes, “Oh, they were never introduced so that’s why I don’t like them.” You’re still hung up on that? You know them now. Get over it.
I actually read a comment that said that Mike Matei worked because he had a proper introduction. No he didn’t. It was just in that Crossfire episode, I think where he rolled in and the words “Motherfucker Mike” appeared on screen. That’s a proper introduction to you? James NEVER introduces anyone. I agree that it’s a problem but that’s not the problem that people have with these guys.
The Screenwave guys are overweight. That’s the problem that people have with them. Because these critics are fucking gay. And I don’t want to insult homosexuals by saying this. Most gay men are tolerant of other people’s appearance, you know, like normal people. But these critics are the catty gay men who like to cause womanly problems.
Sorry for the preamble but I’ve already tried to watch this video once and it’s not good. The woman is awful. I’ve also tried to watch the most recent Godzilla podcast and I literally fell asleep at about the 15 minute mark. Then I tried to watch again from the point where I lost consciousness and I could only last another five minutes before I had to turn it off and give up.
On to the video then.
Fucking Addams Family. They already did the first one, the review of which I couldn’t watch. Now they’re doing the sequel: Addams Family Values which is even worse than the original Addams Family. But “the 90s”. Am I right? Fanny packs.
1:00 – This woman talks about the other Hack the Movies stuff that she does. She was in some video where she’s in a bikini, for example. I don’t understand how this works. These videos get like 1000 views. He must be paying these people. But it’s clearly not profitable.
And who is this woman? What are her goals in life? She’s a local Pennsylvania…actress? Model? I mean…Pennsylvania isn’t the best place to pursue your acting or modelling dreams. And…I mean…well let’s just say that acting and modelling aren’t careers that I think she should be pursuing. I’m sure that she’s better at other stuff and she should be pursuing a more appropriate career.
1:45 – They really praise the movie. The other guy (I don’t know his name) says, “They take what was so great about the first one and just amps it up.”
Right away they lost me. I never saw the movie but I remember it from, whatever, commercials and it looked stupid. Also, I’ve seen about 10 minutes of this review already, in my previous attempt at this, and my opinion has only become more negative. It’s really stupid.
Let me see what Siskel and Ebert gave this. I’ll just go with their tv review.

Siskel didn’t much care for it. Ebert barely gave it a thumbs up. They both said it was better than the original, though.
I’m just going to skip to the ten minute mark. I can’t watch this shit TWICE.
10:30 – This woman says basically nothing for the first ten minutes of the review but then pipes up and gives a long, vulgar description of sex with conjoined twins.
“But that’s the best sex. And for Siamese twins? That’s two mouths.”
You’re going to get a husband with this? This would be vile, brainless, frat boy shit coming from a guy. But this is what some women do in an effort to be “funny”. “I’ll just be as outrageous as possible and talk about sex.” Some of that “female comedy” that’s sweeping the country. Everybody enjoys it.
11:45 – This might sound petty in text but check it out for yourself. She’s desperate to try to contribute and says “oh my god” in a really annoying and disingenuous fashion.
12:30 – The other guy refers to Jon Voight as “a real bad guy now”, referencing some real life stuff, I guess. Let me look this up.
Oh. He’s voiced opinions which are supportive of Trump. According to Wikipedia, it seems that he makes a lot of comments about “Marxism” and “socialism”. I mean, it’s stupid, there’s no question about that. These right wing lunatics who claim that America is “socialist” really need a refreshers course on political theory. But does that make him evil? No, he’s just a misguided “dumbass” like so many Americans. Anyone who is at all interested in American politics is grossly misguided. You’re wasting your time with this shit. Trump represents billionaires and Biden represents billionaires. Unless you’re a billionaire, find something else to do with your time. Getting outraged over this shit. None of these people care about you or your SJW bullshit.
Anyway, this woman makes a lot of annoying and fake faces. Nodding in “sympathy” or “understanding” or whatever and it’s just so fake.
17:00 – This woman wanted to tell an anecdote about how cruel girls can be to each other but Tony kind of cut her off and moved on. Maybe he did us all a favour. But she’s clearly trying to contribute with her stupid expressions and whatnot, she’s clearly signalling that she’d like to jump in, but the two guys just continue to go back and forth between each other, one right after the other. There’s no chance to interject.
I can’t with this any more. This is awkward. Just have two people in these things. That’s the natural dynamic for conversations anyway. With three people, there’s always just somebody observing and that’s what’s happening here.

Then that other guy replies. His name is Newton. He has his own Youtube channel with about six videos on it. Some of them “star” this woman, whose name is Crystal. And yeah, if you Google her name she’s on modelling websites. Some pictures if you want to jerk off but you’re better off with Pornhub.
Most of the comments are about how “hot” this woman is and how much people hate the new guy. A great illustration of desperation and homosexuality.
