He leaves a melodramatic last post and then closes comments.

Why?  Why leave a goodbye post?  Why close comments?  Why any of this?

He’s been writing the blog for 13 years but much less so as Chris BORES became less and less relevant and made fewer and fewer videos.   

So…if you don’t want to write any more, just don’t write any more.  

I suppose that the announcement isn’t really the problem.  If he decided to stop writing, it’s fine to tell people.  “Hey, I’m bored with this and don’t want to do it any more.”  That’s basically what he said.  Had he just left it, people would be leaving comments wondering if he died.

But why close comments?  There was something of a community there.  They still could have fucking gone there to leave comments.  “Hey, here’s my email or whatever in case you want to keep in touch.”  Email.  I have no idea what people use any more.  Twitter.  I don’t know.

It’s selfish, destructive behaviour.

I could see being bored.  Thirteen years about writing about Chris Bores.  And every year, you see the views going down.  Not just because Chris Bores became less and less popular but blogs became less and less popular.

But was it even that much of an investment in time?  He wrote 486 articles in those 13 years.  I’ve written 780 articles in 2 years.  It’s not a particularly time-consuming thing.

And he’s even said before, when people accuse him of having no life and whatnot, that it takes him like 30 minutes to write an article.  It’s true.  That’s about the average for me too.

Since 2017, he only wrote like once or twice a month.  It’s hardly a big time investment.  

The IrateGamerSucks blog was the inspiration for my blog.  I wanted to do like an ErinPlaysSucks blog.  

Had I stuck with that format…yeah, I was getting bored as fuck after two or three months of daily posts about Erin.  This was back on Reddit.  Good thing I expanded to other gamer grrls, although the other gamer grrls are all boring.

So it’s a good thing that I later expanded to just whatever.  Cinemassacre, Tony from Hack the Movies, Newt Wallen.  Who gives a shit?  

And back when it was Erin, I was only going to write a new post for when she uploads a new video.  I was going through her whole back catalogue, which is why I was able to write about her every day.  But once that was done, the plan was only to write when she releases a new video.  The same way the IrateGamerSucks blog did for Chris BORES.

There were some things about the IrateGamerSucks blog that bothered me.  The guy who wrote the thing had something of an axe to grind.  The clue is in the name of the blog.  

He complained about EVERYTHING that Chris BORES did.  Wrong colour socks.  Shit like this.  He would get really petty.  

Chris BORES is just a guy who made shitty Youtube videos.  He’s not the spawn of Satan.  

When I watch a video, even an Erin Plays video, I always go in with an open mind.  Maybe this is the video where Erin turns it around.  It’s almost always a horrible video but I always give it a chance.

And Erin is a terrible, terrible person (much like Chris BORES to some degree) but I don’t take it seriously.  Okay, she’s using Mike to further her shitty Youtube career and avoid working for a living and that’s terrible but Mike is an adult and must know exactly what she’s doing so what do I care?  

Even if Mike didn’t know, what do I care?  I’m going to make it my life’s mission to expose women who are using men for money?  I’d have to write a thousand posts a day for the next 100 years and I still wouldn’t even get close to tackling that issue.
