Hilariously, Madam Fomo also had Erin Plays on this list. And Pat the NES Punk (who she was trying to woo). And KidShurukyn (who she had sex with for money). I wonder what her plans for Erin were. Maybe she identified with Erin. Erin does a similar sort of thing as Madam Fomo, albeit I think just with one guy. “Sugar babies”, I think they’re called.
So I’ve looked at this Sumpi’s videos before. Quite a few times. I’ve tried desperately to watch them. It is fucking impossible.
I can usually watch Erin’s videos for at least a few minutes. But this Sumpi woman is so egregiously off-putting that the maximum possible viewing time is measured in seconds. You turn that shit on and everything just screams “STOP WATCHING THIS SHIT!”
It’s a total assault on the senses. She’s a fucking moron, she’s incredibly self-absorbed, she has the world’s most obnoxious accent, she’s deeply mentally ill, and I’m pretty sure that it’s a dude.
So I tried to find one of her shorter videos just to try to get through it. No. Fucking everything is at least 15 minutes.
And the titles are…god…it’s fucking awful. It’s all about her buttocks and losing weight and how she’s a “thot” and how everybody loves her and very occasionally, there will be something about video games.
You know what I think this is? Bi-polar disorder. These people have extremely high opinions of themselves one minute and then the next minute they talk about what losers they are. She does the same shit. She has videos about how she has no friends, for example. That would be the depressive part of this illness, as opposed to the manic part where she talks about how everybody wants to have sex with her, for example.
The thumbnails are also massively off-putting.
Videos featuring the mentally ill are usually really uncomfortable to watch. I get the same uneasy feeling with SupaPixelGirl videos, for example. CannotBeTamed’s chronic depression makes her videos extremely hard to watch. Erin Plays, there’s just something deeply not right with her and it creates a disconnect in the viewer.
But this Sumpi person is a whole other level.
I’ll tell you what I’m reminded of. This might be a stupid example. Whisky. Or any hard liquor. I’m not a big drinker by any means but I’ve tried in the past to drink whisky straight. Even just a sip. Try it out. See what it’s like. I can’t do it. It smells like death, it tastes like death, everything about this experience is screaming at you not to do this.
Same with Sumpi. Or as she used to be called, Sunbookishgames. I guess that she had some sort of “episode” and decided to change her name.
So I found this video. She’s done with gaming, apparently. Good for her. She barely made videos about video games anyway.
The thumbnail…there’s a picture of an anthropomorphic dog with like pixelated nudity. And next to this dog is Sumpi with like bruised legs and…is there something on my monitor? No, that’s just how she looks. And she’s in her little outfit and she’s spreading her legs and I’m not sure if I see a penis here or what.
The video is 15 minutes long. I know for a fact that I won’t even get 30 seconds in. But I’m going to try. I just have to prepare myself.
I know what’s going to happen. She’s going to start full bore with the crazy bullshit. She’s going to be very manic, she’s going to say a lot of crazy shit, and it’s going to be painful. I’m going to do my best, though. Let’s begin.
Okay, so that dog was apparently “fan art”. And she’s talking about it. She doesn’t like the “fan art”. Real dogs don’t have tits. I’m doing okay so far. I’m with you, Sumpi. What you’re saying is true. And you’re not being completely wacky today. That’s good.
Then she just starts laughing like a maniac.
There are a lot of of quick edits. This is another thing that she does which makes her videos so powerfully off-putting.
Then after an obnoxious and insane cartoon intro, she does a somersault into the frame and is spreading her legs and shit like this.
Well. I’m 30 seconds in and still here. Things are going…as good as can be expected.
Then it seems that she’s just going to look at this erotic “fan art”. I’m still not sure how this art relates to her. Maybe it doesn’t.
Oh. This is Animal Crossing like erotic art. So…it has nothing to do with her.
Wait a minute. She’s not really giving up on the video game community, is she? This is just a “click bait” title to express her displeasure at people making erotic Animal Crossing art.
Well…I’m still going to try to move on.
A lot of dumb edits. She does a lot of camera…fucking…overlays. I don’t know what they’re called. Stupid effects. She also inserts a lot of obnoxious clips and whatnot. Like there was a Simpsons clip, for example.
Yeah, I’m done. I made it to 3:23. She’s just going to look at this art.
So I think that went better than expected. Literally, I can’t even watch ten seconds of most of her videos. It’s just instant…you just want to turn it off.
What is she making with this? Let me check SocialBlade. Wow. About $350/month. That’s very surprising.
Well, she has 67,000 viewers so that’s quite a bit more than Erin. But the views are…pretty low, considering her subscriber count. Most of these videos don’t crack the 10,000 mark. She seems to make about one video a week.
