First, the general overview.
She started the channel on 1 January. Maybe this was a New Year’s resolution. “I’ve had it with this office job. I’m going to be a fake gamer grrl on Youtube!” and the rest is unfortunate history.
Five hundred subscribers in the past 30 days, which is down 16.7%. I’m not sure what that relates to, to be honest, but it can’t be good. Views are also down 31.9%.
And look at those graphs. The two large spikes for “subscribers” are when Mike promoted her channel from the Cinemassacre channel. But he hasn’t done that since June of last year, apparently. So without that constant promotion, her channel is just flatlining.
Same thing with the views. The two spikes are when Mike promoted the channel. Otherwise, forget it.
Estimated yearly earnings £117 – £1,900. Let’s take the middle, that’s £1000. Convert that to dollars, that’s $1250. She’s making $1250/year from Youtube.
Imagine taking a job where they want you to make a video every week. It has to be at least ten minutes long. You have to write it, produce it, edit it, use all of your own equipment, and you have to appear on camera for the whole world to see. “We’ll pay you $1,250 a year.”
There’s no way that anyone would take that job. It works out to like $25 a video. It probably takes Erin about two hours to make these horrendous, zero effort videos. $12.50/hour? That’s worth it to her? And it’s not like you’re getting $12.50/hour to work eight hours a day, five days a week. You’re getting $12.50/hour to work two hours a week. No more than that.
Let’s look at a couple more graphs.
Again, the two peaks are when Mike was aggressively promoting her channel back in May and June last year. Then it goes back down to low levels. Indeed, her gained subscriber numbers are currently as low as they were before she got with Mike.
“Future predictions” then. I think it’s just going to be a link to MyFreeCams.
It might be hard to see but she’ll reach 100,00 subscribers in four years and two months. It’s taken her three years and four months to reach 47,300 subscribers. And for most of that time, it was just her spamming channels to try to achieve some growth. She’s only been with Mike for…has it been two years? Less than that?
So getting with Mike didn’t exactly catapult her in superstardom. There’s been no change.
After seven and a half years, she’ll finally reach the milestone of 100,000 subscribers. Then what? How much is a channel with 100,000 subscribers making? $200/month? It’s ridiculous. And who knows what Youtube will be paying four years from now? Maybe Youtube will be gone. Maybe Vimeo will take over. Anything can happen.
This is not a success. It’s not going to work. A 36 year old fake gamer grrl? There’s a limited shelf life for fake gamer grrls. She’s already past it. It’s time to find a job.
Let’s compare her to Mike’s channel.
Again, you can see the two jumps in May and June 2019 where Mike promoted her but otherwise, it’s a plateau. Mike is quickly closing the gap.
When we look at views, we see that Mike has long since passed Erin and is skyrocketing ahead as she continues to get stagnant numbers.
Finally, we can compare income.
Erin’s projected annual income, taking the average, is $1,500.
Mike’s is $6,000.
Would you make embarrassing videos every week for $6,000? No. But it’s still way more than what Erin is is getting. Four times as much.
People just don’t want to watch a fake 32 year old gamer grrl with no charisma, no knowledge about video games, no skill at video games, and no interest in video games. Why would they? Why would she think that this would be at all successful?
Outside of a handful of sexual deviants with a VERY SPECIFIC fetish, nobody’s watching this shit. And it’s not going to change. Seven and a half years to reach 100,000 subscribers.
For comparison purposes, Destiny Fomo reached 100,000 subscribers a few months ago, after like one year of uploading videos on a regular basis. What’s her secret? Having big tits. There’s a large market for that.
And Destiny Fomo gave up on Youtube. 100,000 subscribers? Not worth it to her. She doesn’t need the $200/month.
It’s just not worth doing. No normal adult is interested in $200/month. You’re not going to put any time or effort in to make an extra $200/month. And you’re certainly not going to humiliate yourself every week for the entire world to see over $200/month.
If you’re passionate about video games and you enjoy making the videos, by all means make them. But pulling some kind of a gamer grrl scam…it’s just not going to work. Not with Erin. She gave it a try. It’s been nearly four years. She moved across country to live with the guy who owns the biggest retro gaming channel on Youtube. It’s a failure. It’s a huge failure. Time to admit it and go look for a job. There’s no shame in working for a living. Indeed, it’s infinitely more respectable than being a fake gamer grrl on Youtube.
