So Newt posted a video all about Horseface. It’s some creepy bullshit that he apparently would play at the movie theatre that he managed. I can’t imagine why they shut down. People leave the same handful of bullshit comments about Reagan and Jodie Foster in every video. It must be tiring as fuck for him. I got sick of it after about ten comments.
The guy did something over 40 years ago and he’s still hearing about it. Constantly. He’s trying to rebuild his life. He doesn’t have much going on. He’s nearly 70. He spent most of his life in this mental health facility. And he has to read the same three bullshit comments every fucking day.
It’s like with Newt. Everything he does, “Hey, remember when you plagiarised? What a plagiarist. Go plagiarise, you plagiarising plagiarist.”
Can we move past this? I’m not saying that we should forget about the plagiarising or the assassination attempt, I’m just saying let’s focus on what they’re presenting now. In the case of Newt, it’s trash. So let’s talk about this trash on it’s own merits. Don’t just repeat “plagiarism” and think that you’re being clever. It’s the polar opposite of clever. It’s tragically idiotic.

Anyway, John Hinckley has three times as many subscribers as Newt. And he makes videos where he plays his guitar and sings. Much more watchable than anything Newt has released.

I agree. Newt was a hero for revealing that James wasn’t writing this shit. But he said that even before the plagiarism scandal hit. He could have stopped there and actually wrote the fucking scripts himself.
Highly doubt anyone is going to move past his actions if he himself can never move past Horseface or a variety of other topics. Having zero accountability and doubling down on it all drives that even harder. He dug his own grave and kept digging all this time. I got no pity for him.

He admitted recently he’s been lying to his therapist so it makes him look like he’s making progress. I really hope that he takes his mental health seriously and stop using social media

I don’t see many bringing up the plagiarism anymore. I never see it mentioned in Newt’s comment sections and the Cinemassacre truth has banned discussions on him.
Newt himself brings it up fairly regularly. So somebody must be saying this stuff.
Well, he has partly himself to blame then. He helps keep the plagiarism scandal alive by acknowledging those comments. One of the main rules of internet drama is to never feed the trolls. If Newt is dumb enough to do that, then the plagiarism will keep haunting him.
You don’t see stuff like that in his comment sections because he hardcore scrubs his comment sections personally of almost any criticism or anything that isn’t people inflating his ego. He’s done this for *years* too and he’s not subtle about it. Whole comment chains disappear overnight. Gosh, like magic! Must have imagined them!
