1998 Nintendo Power Mew Distribution | Today In Retro – Retro Ali

Whoa!  Retro Ali is actually going to try making “content”.  I can’t believe it.  I guess that “reactions” are no longer paying the bills.  Not that she has bills.  She lives in her parent(s) home.  And these videos were never paying.

Anyway, she aged out of “reaction” videos, I guess.  Time to put some effort in.  So let’s check it out!

0:00 – “Whatisupguys?”  She does the best intro.

Then she says that she’s been doing a lot of these “research” videos and suggests that you go check them out.  Yeah, I haven’t seen those.

God, she really needs to slow the fuck down.  This video is 5 minutes long but it would be 10 minutes if she spoke at a reasonable rate.  Then she’d be able to monetise it.  Don’t videos have to be over 10 minutes long to be monetised?

Then she gets *nostalgic* about having Nintendo Power in “the 90s” and early 2000s.  And she directs her comments to the young people who didn’t grow up in this era.  Nintendo Power was a BIG DEAL in “the 90s” and early 2000s.  You 12 year olds today wouldn’t understand.

What the fuck?  I got the internet in…1998?  Something like that.  And I think that that was kind of late.  No internet at the Retro Ali household, I guess.

And she said that Nintendo Power ended in 2012.  Who was buying this in 2012?

Then she’s talking about these Pokemon mini magazines that were produced in 1998 and 1999.  She’s *nostalgic* for them.

4:30 – “So that’s pretty much it for this video”.

WHAT?  I kept waiting for it to start.  What the fuck happened?  What was this video about?

There was a contest to get a Pokemon.  Mew Two, I guess.  Was the character not available in the game directly?  I don’t know.  She doesn’t explain anything.

Then she shouts out the two horny nerds who helped her with this video.  She actually had help to create this five minute video that didn’t go anywhere.

Then she asks for suggestions.  Yeah.  Here’s one.  SLOW THE FUCK DOWN!.
